XMA Corporation, a global leader in RF and microwave components, implemented a robust Quality Management System (QMS) to strengthen its company culture and support growth. The company, which serves industries like quantum computing, aerospace, and defense, recognized the importance of a QMS not just for compliance but as a way to empower employees and ensure accountability. This initiative was driven by customer demands and the company’s goal to expand into new markets.
With support from NHMEP, a NIST MEP affiliate, XMA completed AS9100D On-Site Registration Upgrade training in 2016. The training covered developing quality procedures, work instructions, and internal audit practices. After the training, XMA was audited and received AS9100D certification, which has helped the company improve its processes and position itself for global competition. XMA continues to benefit from the guidance and collaboration with NHMEP, which has played a key role in the company’s growth and quality improvements.
