SP 800-90B Entropy Source Validation Workshop | NIST

NIST is hosting a workshop focused on validating entropy sources that comply with NIST SP 800-90B. The goal is to help the community design, test, and report on entropy sources. Key topics include data collection, noise source modeling, the status of the SP 800-90 series, vendor-defined health tests, and observations from the pre-review process. NIST will demonstrate the Entropy Source Validation Test System (ESVTS) and discuss the planned separate Entropy Source Validation scope. The workshop is of interest to NVLAP-accredited Cryptographic Security Testing (CST) laboratories, vendors of entropy sources, validation authorities, and other interested parties. Talks and panels will be recorded and made publicly available with closed captioning after the event.
