NIST Micromagnetic Modeling Project Enables Research Advancements Worldwide | NIST

Through their work with the external community on developing “standard problems” or benchmarks for modeling capabilities, they have uncovered deficiencies in commonly used methods and developed remedies and improvements showcased in OOMMF. By making a powerful nanomagnetics modeling capability widely available, NIST mathematicians have had an enormous impact on the development of modern magnetic science and technology, serving as a reference for state-of-the-art numerics and elevating the capabilities of all model developers.
