Dr. Herbert S. Bennett is a distinguished scientist and standards expert with extensive experience in international standards development, particularly in the areas of electronics, wireless technologies, and nanoelectronics. He has served on numerous advisory boards and committees, including the International Technology Roadmap for Semiconductors (ITRS) and the ITRS Working Group on RF and AMS Technologies for Wireless Communications.
Throughout his career, Dr. Bennett has made significant contributions to the development of standards and measurements for electronic, magnetic, and optical devices and materials. He has written over 190 archival technical publications on various topics, including semiconductor device physics, optoelectronics, and nanoscale contacts and interconnects.
Dr. Bennett has held various positions at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), including NIST Fellow and Executive Advisor until 2015, and currently serves as a Guest Researcher and NIST Fellow Emeritus.
