NIST continues to collaborate with international partners on the Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) 2.0 update, with a focus on global engagement and alignment with international standards. Key topics discussed include the CSF 2.0 update, IoT cybersecurity, cybersecurity workforce development, and the Privacy Framework. NIST participated in events with Singapore, Colombia, Brazil, Mexico, and Thailand to explore how tools like the CSF can manage cybersecurity risks across various contexts, including 5G cybersecurity and smart cities initiatives.
In addition to these efforts, NIST supported the Regional Initiative for Cybersecurity Education and Training (RICET) event, aiming to build a foundation in cybersecurity education, training, and workforce for the Americas. The event showcased speakers from diverse backgrounds discussing cybersecurity labor market, pathways, and opportunities for career entry talent.
NIST’s ongoing international engagements and collaborations aim to ensure the global relevance of the Cybersecurity Framework 2.0 update and other related initiatives, fostering international standards-based approaches to cybersecurity risk management.
