Lisa J. Carnahan is a key figure at NIST, leading the development of IT standardization strategies. She focuses on emerging technologies and promoting standards adoption in government and industry. Carnahan is the lead for conformity assessment aspects of NIST’s Cybersecurity and Privacy Frameworks, and convenes the US Interagency International Cybersecurity Standardization Working Group. Before joining ITL, she led conformity assessment research and guidance activities in NIST’s Standards Coordination Office, co-authoring key documents on applying conformity assessment concepts in the federal government.
