NIST is organizing a workshop on Multi-Party Threshold Schemes (MPTS) 2023 to gather public feedback on the process outlined in their First Call for Multi-Party Threshold Schemes [NISTIR 8214C ipd (2023)]. This process involves exploring threshold schemes for various cryptographic primitives standardized by NIST, as well as other primitives related to FHE, ZKP, and ABE that are not currently included in NIST standards.
The workshop will focus on collecting reference material, performing public analysis, and developing recommendations. NIST is encouraging expert stakeholders from the international cryptography community to submit abstracts for short talks (5-15 minutes) to present at the event. The workshop aims to gather diverse public feedback and provide a platform for stakeholders to share their insights and expertise.
Attendance at the workshop is open to the wider community of stakeholders and those interested in the topic. Live attendance is free but requires registration. The MPTS 2023 workshop is an important opportunity for the international cryptography community to come together and provide feedback on the process envisioned in the NIST First Call for Multi-Party Threshold Schemes.
