Dr. Zeeshan Ahmed is a spectroscopist and researcher at NIST who focuses on developing innovative technologies for photonic and quantum sensors. His work aims to create cost-effective, multi-functional sensor packages with self-correcting capabilities for applications like biodosimetry, pressure, temperature, and force sensing. Ahmed has received several awards for his contributions to innovation and leadership in cutting-edge research projects, and currently serves as Chairman of the Task Group on Emerging Technologies at the BIPM. He holds an Affiliate Faculty position at George Mason University’s Mathematics department and the Quantum Science and Engineering Center, where he collaborates on developing machine learning models for self-correcting sensors.
