Advanced Electronics Group | NIST

The Advanced Electronics Group at NIST is working on developing essential measurement technologies needed for manufacturing nanoscale devices at the 3 nm node and beyond. These technologies will help understand the fundamental physics and enable advanced manufacturing of nanoscale devices.

The group focuses on developing new modes of spectrographic imaging and spatially resolved measurements using various techniques such as electrons, photons, electric or magnetic fields, or proximal probes down to the atomic scale. They apply nanoscale imaging to characterize nanoscale devices and nanostructured materials, studying their physics, structure, and function in different environments including ambient, operating, and in vivo conditions.
