ETSI recently concluded several important events and released new standards and tools. The FRMCS #4 Plugtests event, held in Sophia Antipolis, brought together railway and telecom industry experts to test and develop communication systems. Separately, ETSI hosted a conference on quantum-safe cryptography, emphasizing the need for organizations to prepare for cybersecurity threats posed by quantum computing. The event, held in Singapore, highlighted growing global interest in securing digital systems against future quantum attacks.

In addition, ETSI released an updated version of TeraFlowSDN, an advanced network automation platform that now supports new protocols and features like optical SDN control and predictive network insights. ETSI also made progress on MEC (Multi-access Edge Computing) standards, aligning with 3GPP and introducing new APIs to enable collaboration between 5G operators and service providers. These developments are expected to enhance network efficiency and support emerging technologies like edge computing and quantum-safe communications.
