Department of Commerce Establishes Industrial Advisory Committee for Microelectronics | NIST

The U.S. Department of Commerce has established an Industrial Advisory Committee (IAC) to advise on microelectronics research, development, manufacturing, and policy. The committee will provide expert advice from industry, academia, and government to help maintain U.S. leadership in microelectronics manufacturing.

The IAC will advise on topics including the science and technology needs of the domestic microelectronics industry, the effectiveness of the National Science and Technology Council’s microelectronics strategy, and opportunities for new public-private partnerships.

NIST will provide administrative support to the committee and is dedicated to helping the U.S. microelectronics industry maintain its lead through research, innovation, and manufacturing support.

Nominations for the committee will be accepted on an ongoing basis as vacancies arise.
