NIST is working on the Digital NIST project to modernize its measurement services and develop digital calibration reports and certificates of analysis for reference materials. The project aims to make data machine-readable and follow the FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable).
NIST is seeking input from stakeholders and customers through a virtual workshop on September 28-29, 2022. The workshop will cover topics such as data and unit formats, modes of delivery, applications of digital data, and potential future digital services like remote calibrations and metrology cloud.
The goal is to modernize NIST’s measurement services and provide stakeholders with the necessary tools and information to navigate the digital transformation of metrology.
