Lightweight Cryptography (LWC) Standardization: Round 2 Candidates Announced | NIST

NIST has announced the 32 candidates advancing to the second round of its lightweight cryptography (LWC) standardization process. The selected candidates will have the opportunity to provide updated specifications and implementations to correct minor issues by September 27, 2019. No design changes will be allowed during this phase. The second round is expected to last 12 months. NIST will host a Lightweight Cryptography Workshop on November 4-6, 2019 in Gaithersburg, MD.
