The U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) recently held its 47th annual awards ceremony to recognize the achievements of over 190 staff members. The ceremony, presided over by NIST Director Walter G. Copan, celebrated staff accomplishments in various fields, including quantum computing, unmanned vehicles, cell biology, medical imaging, energy-efficient buildings, and vitamin D research. The awards highlighted the diverse range of activities NIST oversees as the nation’s measurement laboratory.
