Krister Shalm is a quantum physicist who works at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Since joining NIST in 2012, he has focused on studying light to help develop new quantum technologies. He earned his Ph.D. in physics from the University of Toronto and did postdoctoral research at the Institute for Quantum Computing in Waterloo, Canada. His research on entanglement has gained international attention.
Outside of his scientific work, Krister enjoys swing dancing. His contributions to quantum science, particularly in understanding entanglement, are helping to advance the field of quantum technology.
