Krister Shalm | NIST

Krister Shalm is a quantum physicist who has been working at NIST since 2012. His research focuses on the properties of light to help develop new quantum technologies. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Toronto and did postdoctoral research at the Institute for Quantum Computing in Canada. His work on entanglement is well-known around the world.

Outside of his scientific work, Krister enjoys swing dancing. His contributions to quantum science are helping to advance the field, especially in understanding how particles can be linked together in ways that could lead to new technologies.
