Peter Bradley | NIST

Peter Bradley, a seasoned professional with over 25 years of experience, leads the Cryogenic Technologies Project at NIST in Boulder, Colorado. His extensive background includes designing and evaluating cryogenic components and systems for low-temperature experiments, with a focus on recuperative and regenerative cryocoolers operating between 4 K and room temperature. Bradley began his career at NIST as an undergraduate PREP recipient in 1985 and later became a Mechanical Engineer in 1987. He also gained experience in cryogenic propellant and flight delivery systems during his time at NASA’s space shuttle program from 1987 to 1989. Since joining NIST in 1989, Bradley has held dual roles as both a Mechanical/Cryogenic engineer and scientist, and he holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado, 1986. He is also a board member for the International Cryocooler Conference.
