Title: NIST Releases Bell Test Research Software and Data for Public Access
NIST has made available a comprehensive repository containing the research software and data used in their recent Bell test experiments. The repository includes the source code used to collect the data, as well as the programs employed for data analysis. However, users may need to modify the code to ensure proper functionality on their systems.
The repository is considered a “living repository” and will be updated to improve data accessibility. NIST’s Single Photonics and Quantum Information Project conducted the Bell test experiments, which aim to explore the foundations of quantum mechanics.
The software and data are provided as a public service by NIST. Users are permitted to use, copy, and distribute copies of the software and data, as long as the entire notice remains intact. Users can also improve, modify, and create derivative works based on the software or data, and distribute such modifications or works. Modified works should include a notice stating the changes made and the date and nature of any such change.
