Kevin Stine Named Director of NIST’s Information Technology Laboratory | NIST

NIST has appointed Kevin Stine as the new director of its Information Technology Laboratory (ITL). ITL focuses on developing IT measurement standards and research to build trust in technology. Stine brings extensive experience in cybersecurity, having led the development of NIST’s Cybersecurity Framework and serving as chief of ITL’s Applied Cybersecurity Division. The division oversees important programs like the National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence and NICE. Stine previously worked as the FDA’s first chief information security officer and in private industry before joining NIST.
