The European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) and the Institute for Quantum Computing (IQC) are organizing a workshop on quantum-safe cryptography in Toronto from September 19-21, 2016. The event aims to help industry participants develop standardized approaches to quantum-resistant cryptographic solutions as quantum computing is expected to disrupt IT security.
The workshop will feature an executive track for business and security leaders to discuss quantum-safe strategy, and a technical track with sessions on post-quantum cryptography, quantum key distribution, and integrating security tools. Attendees will include experts from various fields, first-adopters of quantum-safe technologies, and members of standards bodies.
The workshop provides an opportunity for industry players to join the growing community working to mitigate quantum computing risks and develop quantum-safe cryptosystems. Registration is open for both the executive and technical tracks.
