The U.S., Canada, and Mexico have agreed to collaborate on measurement and calibration lab programs through two new organizations: NORAMET and the North American Calibration Cooperation (NACC). NORAMET will focus on establishing mutual recognition of national measurement standards and services, while NACC will work to develop confidence in national calibration lab accreditation programs. This collaboration is expected to facilitate closer cooperation between the three countries and reduce non-tariff barriers to trade in the North American region.
