NIST Releases Draft SP 800-56B Rev 2 for Public Comment | NIST

NIST has released a draft of Special Publication (SP) 800-56B Revision 2 for public comment. This publication focuses on key agreement and key transport schemes for pairs of entities using integer factorization cryptography. The draft includes methods for key confirmation to ensure both parties share the same keying material.

Significant changes to the document are listed in the “Notes to Reviewers” section, with a more detailed list provided in the final appendix.
