Robinjeet Singh is a research associate at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in Boulder, Colorado. He works in the Quantum Sensor Group, focusing on developing superconducting quantum interface devices (SQUIDs) and other advanced sensors for astronomical and cosmological observations.
Before joining NIST Boulder, Singh was a postdoctoral associate at NIST Gaithersburg, where he worked on optomechanical systems for temperature metrology and quantum information transduction. His PhD research at Louisiana State University involved developing tabletop experiments to study quantum effects in microresonator-based cavity optomechanical systems, with the goal of improving quantum noise evasion for next-generation gravitational wave detectors like advanced LIGO.
