Bob Sorensen, Senior Vice President and Chief Analyst for Quantum Computing at Hyperion Research, will present on the status of upcoming exascale-class high-performance computing (HPC) systems and the evolving landscape of quantum computing (QC) development. The presentation will provide an overview of the current state of exascale HPC systems and future directions for QC development from a global perspective.
Bob Sorensen leads Hyperion Research’s quantum computing program, which analyzes global R&D, technology, industry, and government trends in the quantum computing sector. His expertise includes HPC hardware, architectures, interconnects, HPC benchmarking, performance analysis, and assessments of emerging and disruptive technology trends in the HPC and IT sector. Sorensen holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Rochester and a master’s degree in computer science from the George Washington University.
