The Virtual Consortium for Advanced Technology (VCAT) is a group of experts working on advanced technology standards. The current members of VCAT are:

3. Dr. Glenn A. Fox – Principal Associate Director at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, term ending April 2027
4. Dr. Monisha Ghosh – Professor of Electrical Engineering at University of Notre Dame, term ending March 2026
5. Dr. Michael J. Holland – Vice Chancellor for Science Policy and Research Strategies at University of Pittsburgh, term ending October 2027
6. Dr. Jacqueline (Jack) Meszaros – Former NSF Science and Technology Advisor, term ending December 2027
7. Mr. Jason Matusow – Microsoft’s General Manager of Corporate Standards Group and current VCAT Chair, term ending September 2025
8. Dr. Cherry A. Murray – Professor of Physics and Electrical and Computer Engineering at University of Arizona, term ending April 2027
9. Dr. Mark Pierpoint – SVP Strategic Innovation & Partnerships at Keysight Technologies, current VCAT Vice Chair, term ending March 2026
VCAT’s mission is to develop and maintain standards for advanced technologies, with a focus on quantum computing and other emerging fields. The group is led by Microsoft’s Jason Matusow as Chair and Keysight’s Mark Pierpoint as Vice Chair.
