NIST Seeking Input on Updates to NICE Cybersecurity Workforce Framework | NIST

NIST is seeking public input to update the NICE Cybersecurity Workforce Framework by January 13, 2020. The framework, part of the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education, helps organizations identify and develop cybersecurity talent. NIST held a public webinar on December 3, 2019 to discuss planned improvements.

Key areas for framework enhancement include:
– Increasing awareness of the framework’s voluntary use
– Applying the framework to achieve goals outlined in Executive Order 13870
– Gathering stakeholder experiences and insights
– Refining the framework’s structure and effectiveness

Public feedback can be submitted by mail or email using the specified subject line. All submissions become part of the public record and will not be edited to remove identifying information.
