NIST to Host Virtual Workshop on Migrating to Post-Quantum Cryptography
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) will organize a virtual workshop on August 24, 2020, focusing on the challenges and practical approaches for transitioning from current public key cryptographic algorithms to quantum-resistant alternatives. This workshop aligns with NIST’s post-quantum cryptography (PQC) standardization efforts aimed at developing and standardizing cryptographic algorithms that can withstand quantum computing threats.
The workshop will gather experts from various sectors to share their knowledge and experiences in developing and implementing post-quantum cryptographic solutions. Participants will discuss the challenges and opportunities associated with migrating to post-quantum cryptographic algorithms and explore practical and implementable approaches to facilitate this transition.
