Sixth PQC Standardization Conference | NIST

NIST is planning to host the 6th Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) Standardization Conference in September 2025. The event will bring together experts from academia, industry, and government to discuss the development of cryptographic standards that can protect against future quantum computing threats. This follows NIST’s release of the first three PQC standards in August 2024, which are designed to secure digital communications against attacks from powerful quantum computers.

The conference will include input from teams working on candidate algorithms that are still under evaluation. As quantum computing advances, the need for secure encryption methods becomes more urgent, and NIST continues to work on additional standards to meet this need. The event will provide an opportunity for stakeholders to share progress and address challenges in the standardization process.
