The Hexa-X project, the first EC-funded 6G initiative, has secured Horizon 2020 funding to advance 6G research with a consortium of 25 European partners led by Nokia and Ericsson. Starting January 1, 2021, the 2.5-year project focuses on architectural research to connect physical, digital, and human worlds through future wireless technologies. The initiative brings together a full value-chain of stakeholders, including network vendors, service providers, verticals, and leading research institutes, to establish European leadership in next-generation connectivity.
