The NetworldEurope Steering Board approved the 2024 Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda Technical Annex, a comprehensive document developed by nearly 200 experts that outlines key ICT technologies for future communication infrastructures ranging from optics to satellite systems. This agenda builds upon the 2022 SRIA, which established a technological roadmap with specific reference specifications and metrics, and includes a dedicated technical annex for deeper analysis of emerging technologies. Recent initiatives also include a whitepaper on enabling technologies for vertical ecosystem transformation in 6G and an annex addressing smart networks within the Next Generation Internet context. These documents collectively define research priorities and implementation ideas for European stakeholders to guide future network development.
