ETSI Moves Forward with Standards for Trusted, Interoperable Data Ecosystem – ETSI

ETSI TC DATA has launched a new work programme to enhance foundational standards for secure, interoperable, and trustworthy data exchange across diverse digital ecosystems. Key initiatives include developing quality metrics for data trustworthiness to support AI-driven contexts, exploring the convergence of NGSI-LD and SAREF frameworks for smart infrastructure, and studying governance use-cases for sensing technologies in urban and industrial settings. The committee also continues work on digital wallets aligned with eIDAS2 and collaborates with CEN and CENELEC to address technical aspects of the EU Data Act. These efforts aim to define scalable technical standards that underpin emerging legislation and drive innovation in sectors ranging from healthcare to transport.
