ETSI GR ISC 001 establishes foundational requirements for 18 advanced Integrated Sensing and Communications (ISAC) use cases, including human motion recognition and autonomous vehicle navigation, to support future 6G networks. The report defines three integration levels and six sensing modes, such as monostatic and bistatic configurations, while proposing new Key Performance Indicators like Fine Motion Accuracy to evaluate system capabilities. It emphasizes the necessity of secure, private, and sustainable implementations that fuse 6G and non-6G data sources across diverse frequency bands from sub-6 GHz to THz. This document serves as a critical input for ongoing 3GPP SA1 work and subsequent ETSI reports addressing channel modeling, system architecture, and security.
