President Alexander Stubb visited the University of Oulu’s 6G Flagship to discuss the strategic role of next-generation wireless research in Finland’s future competitiveness and NATO technological collaboration. During the meeting with Director Professor Matti Latva-aho and industry partners, the focus was on translating 6G advancements into tangible societal benefits and ensuring network resilience. Launched in 2018, the flagship program has already produced over 3,500 peer-reviewed publications and established a research framework covering wireless connectivity, device technology, distributed intelligence, and human-centric services for the 2030s.
