The Nordic Conference on Digital Health and Wireless Solutions highlighted the University of Oulu’s leadership in 6G Flagship research, which aims to develop intelligent, highly efficient healthcare services beyond current 5G capabilities. Keynote speakers emphasized the transformative role of artificial intelligence in radiology and musculoskeletal diagnostics, demonstrating how AI can manage data deluges and improve diagnostic accuracy while preserving clinical workflows. The event also addressed the global digital health divide, with WHO representatives calling for enhanced interoperability and open-source strategies to ensure equitable access to digital tools in low- and middle-income countries. Furthermore, the European Commission outlined its strategic legislative framework, including the European Health Data Space, to facilitate seamless cross-border health data management and ensure electronic health record access for all citizens by 2030. The conference concluded with the recognition of over 100 scientific papers and a commitment to hosting the next biennial event in 2026 to continue fostering collaboration between academia, industry, and healthcare providers.
