Understanding and Addressing 6G Controversies: Learning from the Past, Building for the Future – 6G4Society Workshop – SNS JU

This webinar, part of the SNS JU 6G4Society project, explores how to embed ethical and sustainable values into 6G development by analyzing past controversies surrounding 5G and earlier mobile generations. Panelists Dr. Ana Delicado and Adrien Tournier will examine the socio-historical patterns of public resistance, governance challenges, and the role of competing values in shaping technology acceptance. The discussion aims to provide strategies for stakeholders to foster trust, mitigate misinformation, and develop an EU consensus framework for responsible 6G deployment. By integrating insights from Science and Technology Studies, the session seeks to transform controversies into opportunities for inclusive and transparent innovation.
