Four large-scale SNS projects are deploying advanced 5G and 6G testbeds across Europe to validate critical vertical applications in sectors such as energy, construction, automotive, and eHealth. These initiatives integrate key enablers like AI/ML, network slicing, and edge computing to demonstrate services including digital twins, haptic internet, and smart city solutions while establishing new sustainability and safety KPIs. By utilizing heterogeneous test environments in Greece, Norway, Spain, Italy, and other locations, the projects aim to bridge the gap between theoretical research and commercial deployment through open architectures and multi-stakeholder collaboration. The resulting feedback will directly inform 3GPP standardization and the development of viable business ecosystems for next-generation networks.
