The ETSI NFV ISG has released nine draft documents covering infrastructure, virtualized network functions, management, and security, which will form the first complete release of NFV specifications by the end of 2014. These drafts are now open for industry feedback and outline the architecture for compute, hypervisor, and network domains alongside resiliency and security standards. The group also defined plans for a second phase focused on interoperability, formal testing, and collaboration with open-source projects. Additionally, Dr. Steven Wright of AT&T was elected as the new chair to lead the ISG, which now includes over 220 participating organizations.
