oneM2M elects new Steering Committee leadership from Cisco, Huawei, Intel and Telecom Italia – ETSI

The oneM2M global partnership concluded its second year with the election of a new Steering Committee led by Cisco’s Fran O’Brien as Chair, while re-electing Huawei’s Thomas Li as Vice Chair. The organization expanded its partner network by welcoming the New Generation M2M Consortium from Japan and maintaining collaboration with key standards bodies like the BBF, OMA, and Continua. During the 12th Technical Plenary in Sophia-Antipolis, representatives from IEEE, TSDSI, and CEN CENELEC participated to ensure the M2M standards address diverse industry requirements. The partnership continues to develop IoT solutions that support large-scale machine-to-machine communications, with the next plenary scheduled for September in Phoenix, Arizona.
