ETSI convened a Security Week in Sophia Antipolis to unite ICT security experts from global standards bodies, industry, and academia in addressing the evolving threat landscape. The event highlighted the critical need for “security by design” and showcased the work of the newly established CYBER technical committee, which coordinates cybersecurity standards and addresses European policy requirements. Key publications released include a technical report on critical security controls and two white papers covering ICT security overviews and the emerging risks of quantum computing to current encryption methods. ETSI also announced new initiatives, including a practical guide to privacy and ongoing industry specification groups dedicated to quantum-safe cryptography.
