ETSI NFV ISG has published three new specifications addressing security, reliability, and lawful interception for network function virtualization. GS NFV-SEC 004 defines architectures for virtualizing lawful interception functions to maintain flexibility across virtualized network functions, while GS NFV-SEC 002 establishes security requirements for open source management software like OpenStack, including authentication and cryptographic protocols. Additionally, ETSI GS NFV-REL 002 outlines cloud and data center techniques for achieving scalability and high availability in NFV environments through application-independent state management and scale-out strategies. These documents aim to provide a knowledge base for deploying secure, reliable, and compliant NFV solutions that meet regulatory obligations.
