ETSI has published three new Technical Specifications developed by the Home Gateway Initiative (HGI) under its revised PAS process, marking the first adoption of HGI documents through this channel. The specifications include ETSI TS 103 424 for smart home architecture, TS 103 425 for Wireless Home Area Networks, and TS 103 426 for modular software deployments on HGI Open Platform 2.1. These documents define requirements for smart home systems and gateway software, complementing existing ETSI SmartM2M work on smart appliances. By adopting these PAS documents, the HGI gains recognition as a European Standards Organization and positions the specifications for potential future European Standard status.
