ETSI Multi-Access Edge Computing releases new white paper and starts work on interoperability – ETSI

ETSI MEC ISG has released a new white paper designed to guide application developers in architecting software for Multi-Access Edge Computing environments, emphasizing the unique properties of edge clouds and the benefits of microservices-based designs. Concurrently, the group is initiating new work to define testing and compliance requirements, which will include a framework for interoperability and conformance testing of MEC implementations. These efforts aim to address market gaps by clarifying ETSI MEC specifications and fostering true interoperability among compliant systems. The organization invites community members to join the ISG and contribute to the development of these essential standards.
