The FRMCS Plugtests event in Sophia Antipolis successfully validated interoperability among 100 global participants through 65 test sessions, achieving a 95% success rate across 350 test cases. The testing focused on 3GPP Release-16 rail-specific features such as Functional Aliases, Multi-talker capabilities, MCData IP Connectivity, and User Regrouping, alongside Over-The-Top tests via VPN connections. Observations from the event, supported by FirstNet, will be forwarded to 3GPP working groups to potentially clarify standards, while an online observer program facilitated discussions on FRMCS deployment status.
