ETSI MEC issues White Paper on enterprise needs and a Report for V2X applications – ETSI

ETSI’s Multi-access Edge Computing ISG has released a new White Paper titled “MEC in an Enterprise Setting: A Solution Outline” to address the lack of standardization and interoperability in current proprietary enterprise deployments. The document outlines how MEC can unify heterogeneous technologies and enable the reuse of underutilized network, storage, and processing resources through standardized APIs. Additionally, the group published GR MEC 022, a study identifying necessary features and gaps to support Vehicular-to-Everything (V2X) applications in multi-vendor environments. To close these gaps, the ISG is currently developing a new specification for a V2X MEC service that defines required information flows, data models, and APIs.
