The SNS JU community is advancing sustainable 6G architectures through the “Towards Sustainable 6G – Part II” workshop in Milan, featuring contributions from projects like 6G-TWIN and 6G4SOCIETY to align with Europe’s Green Deal. Significant technical progress includes 6G-NTN’s definition of a resilient 3D multi-layered architecture integrating satellites and high-altitude platforms, alongside ACROSS’s release of zero-trust orchestration platforms and open-source security components. TrialsNet and 6G-XR continue to validate real-world applications through extensive use cases in smart cities and immersive XR, while 6G-BRICKS Open Call 2 selected eleven projects to further test these technologies in vertical sectors.
