The 3GPP Working Groups TSG CT and TSG SA are convening in Goa, India, with approximately 800 delegates from 240 companies to discuss 5G-Advanced specification maturity and initiate foundational studies for 6G. Specialized groups including WG SA3, SA4, SA5, and SA6 are launching efforts on security, media aspects, management, and application enablement to shape future releases beyond Rel-20. These technical discussions, alongside parallel radio work in Gottenborg, aim to establish the service requirements and system architecture necessary for next-generation mobile standards. The event is hosted by TSDSI with support from the Indian Department of Telecommunications and sponsors such as Apple and Keysight to facilitate global participation.
