SNS JU October 2025 Newsletter – SNS JU

The Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking (SNS JU) and the European Space Agency signed a Memorandum of Intent to accelerate the integration of terrestrial and satellite networks for 6G, enabling large-scale trials across mobility, utilities, and agriculture. This partnership aligns with the New Delhi Declaration on 6G Principles, which was endorsed by major global alliances to establish common priorities for secure, open, and resilient future networks. SNS JU leadership highlighted Europe’s strategic role in defining 6G standards and driving innovation through expanded research portfolios and cross-sector collaboration at major events like Techritory and the Thinknet 6G Summit. Recent workshops further focused on advancing Integrated Sensing and Communications and addressing railway sector needs for the transition from GSM-R to future 6G systems. These coordinated efforts aim to strengthen European technological sovereignty and ensure a unified approach to next-generation connectivity.
