The second edition of the ATHENA Workshop, titled “Empowering 6G Networks,” is seeking original research papers for presentation at the IEEE SDN/NFV 2025 conference. This event focuses on critical advancements in 6G research infrastructures, adaptive frameworks, and global architectural evolution, with a specific emphasis on AI-driven network adaptability and the integration of non-terrestrial networks. Topics of interest include cognitive coordination, intent-driven networking, energy-efficient technologies, and the application of generative and neuro-symbolic AI in next-generation systems. Accepted full papers will be published in IEEE Xplore, continuing the legacy of the first workshop which featured 40 accepted papers on 6G testbeds and softwarization.
