DIA Celebrates Key Contribution to Networld Europe’s 2024 SRIA

The Datacom Industry Association (DIA) made a significant contribution to Chapter 3 of the 2024 Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA) by Networld Europe, which now comprehensively addresses fundamental enablers for future 6G systems. This chapter expands the scope of previously underrepresented topics to include control plane innovations, advanced routing, novel addressing protocols, and interconnection methods beyond the current Internet. The DIA’s coordinated technical expertise helped align these enablers with a system-of-systems vision to better serve diverse verticals and cross-cutting horizontal technologies. As a result of this effort, the DIA established the Systems and Enabling Technologies Working Group to continue driving these foundational 6G developments.
