February 2013 VCAT Meeting Agenda | NIST

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) held a meeting of the Visiting Committee on Advanced Technology on February 6-7, 2013. The meeting included updates on NIST’s latest developments and a laboratory tour. A presentation on the redefinition of the metric system, focusing on the transition from mass standards to the electronic kilogram, was given by Carl Williams, Chief of the Quantum Measurement Division. The meeting also featured a presentation on the MEP (Manufacturing Extension Partnership) Program Perspective by Roger Kilmer, Director of MEP. All visitors were required to pre-register to attend the meeting.
